Courses : Digital Collage and Montage
Level 1
Collage and Montage are two similar but different ways of making a composite image. Consider the work of George Braques and the photomontages of Hockney. Braque uses found images and objects to start his work and then works with paint within the image. Hockney chooses his subject matter and then takes a wide variety of photographs to develop his photomontages.

Both of these techniques are particularly suitable for using within digital media and so a good way to explore the basic tools of Photoshop.
