A new development within the suite of City & Guilds Creative Arts courses is the Level 4 course. You can follow a choice of art and craft disciplines which are underpinned by the development of a wide range of supporting skills.
There are a variety of compulsory units which help you to develop your own personal style of work, as well as giving you an understanding of the commissioning process. Research and presentation are important skills at this level, and are considered in depth for all your work. You also have a choice of optional units where you can develop your broader skills base. This could be the use of creative computing, how to run a business or learning teaching skills. The exploration of mixing different disciplines within your art work can allow the development of exciting new ideas and techniques. This high level course gives you the skills required to become a professional in your chosen area.
We offer level 4 through 2 pathways - Glass or Textiles
At Level 4 the workload is fairly intense and you will have to spend at least two and a half to three days each week to complete the course in two years.
However if your aim is to become a professional artist, then this is the course for you. |
