Kiln Formed Glass is an area of glasswork which is currently undergoing a renaissance. Examples of kiln forming can be found in pre-roman glass, and more recently in the Art Nouveau movement.
The sophisticated kiln technology that is now available is opening the way to new applications in kiln formed glass techniques. This course will teach you all the basics of firing techniques and give you all the technical information you need, as well as developing your design skills.
You will explore a wide variety of skills and techniques and then learn to use them to create original glasswork in a contemporary style.
