If appropriate, some or all of the following procedures will then occur.
The work will be re-assessed in an attempt to find a solution.
Failing this the Quality Assurance Co-ordinator will set a date for the appeal to be considered by an appeals panel. This will be within 20 days of the original complaint being received by the Quality Assurance Co-ordinator. They will also notify the City and Guilds External Verifier of the appeal, giving details of how and when the appeal will be heard, and the composition of the appeals panel.
The appeals panel will meet within 20 days of the appeal being lodged.
The appeals panel will be small, and constituted so that it is objective, fair and independent.
The panel will ensure that it has full accounts from all the parties involved in the assessment.
No one involved in the original assessment will be on the panel.
The candidate will be immediately notified of the resultant decision of the appeals panel, and the recommendations that the panel makes. |
